Scottish Water are seeking feedback from visitors and the wider community on Cocksburn Reservoir to help them plan for future improvements at the site.
They would be grateful if you could:
- Complete the survey yourself, sharing your own views and experiences.
- Share the survey link within your networks so we can hear from as many community members as possible.
- Visit their Partnership Ranger gazebo at the reservoir 2-5pm Sat and Sun 30th, 31st August
The survey should take only a few minutes to complete, and your input will play an important role in shaping how the reservoir is managed in the years ahead.
You can complete our survey here: https://forms.office.com/e/2uGDDBcEhr
Thank you in advance for your support in gathering this valuable feedback. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

It would be great for horse accessibility. Having to dismount at some of the gates can be dangerous. Also if some of the grass areas were leveled out and kept clear for faster work off the paths. Since the paths have been put in, there’s no where for riders to have a canter. Pedestrian also moan about the horse poo. Which I can image would be annoying. Having horse paths may help with this.
There is often a lot of litter left at the reservoir from people who are obviously camping overnight. Disposable barbecues left and evidence of fires. The path from the Dumyat side is usually littered with poo bags. A bucket at the Dumyat car parking area would help. I have often seen bucket lorries heading up that road so would be easy to empty the buckets. The overnight parking at the car park has led to more litter. I walk around the reservoir with my dog weekly and have been disappointed with the amount of litter and rubbish that is left.
Better education is required, this reservoir is still not too bad but I’ve seen other places that have been left in rack and ruin by people just leaving everything lying around
