The Met Office have issued an Amber weather warning for wind which affects the whole of mainland Scotland which takes effect from 9pm tomorrow (24 October) until 9pm on Sunday (25 October) as Storm Boelo reaches the country.
Residents and motorists are urged to take care in conditions which may cause flying debris, damage to buildings and treefall.
Our teams remain on standby this weekend to monitor conditions and ensure that disruption to essential services is minimised. Any updates on service disruption, including road closures, will be made available via the Council website as circumstances change via: https://www.stirling.gov.uk/
A flood alert for the Central region from Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) remains in effect at this time. Sandbag provisions remain available outside the gates of both Springkerse and Callander roads depots in addition to the Meadows Car Park in Callander and outside the Fire Station in Aberfoyle with persistent heavy rain expected to continue following Storm Austen.
