Councillor Kleinman has emailed about Vehicles Obstructing Driveways:
“An item of information for you is that since the closure of the Co-op car park there have been several incidents reported to me of vehicles parking in front of driveways in nearby streets resulting in homeowners being unable to access or egress their driveways. This has been an ongoing issue for some time in streets within the vicinity of BofA Primary School and the solution there has usually been for Stirling Council to install an Access Protection Marker (APM) ie a painted white line across the access area which basically means ‘keep access clear’.
Householders within the neighbouring streets to the Co-op site who are regularly experiencing vehicles parked in front of their driveway access may wish to consider contacting Stirling Council for an application form requesting an APM. Some recent applications that I have dealt with on behalf of householders have been successful although each application is considered on its own merit.
