The following surveys are currently open until either end of August or September – details below:

Walk, Cycle, Live Stirling Consultation Survey

Stirling Council are seeking feedback on the newly-opened Walk, Cycle, Live Stirling project to ensure this transformative active travel infrastructure reflects the needs and priorities of communities and will be a crucial part of Stirling’s future transport network.  The new infrastructure will also lay the foundations for future connections to Clackmannanshire and the wider Forth Valley region, some of which are currently out for consultation.

The survey is an opportunity for people to share their thoughts on the current infrastructure, potential improvements and any barriers they face when choosing to travel actively.

Taxi Vehicle and Driver Policy Survey

Stirling residents, and the local taxi trade, are being asked to provide their views on a new Taxi and Private Hire Vehicle and Driver Policy.  The policy will ensure minimum operating standards of taxi and private hire vehicles and drivers in the interests of public safety and quality of service.

Proposed changes to the policy include:

  • Requirements of age and colour of taxi and private hire vehicles
  • Requirements relating to CCTV and dashcam equipment
  • Medical fitness standards for taxi and private hire vehicle drivers
  • Certification requirements for taxi drivers
  • Requirement of foreign conviction checks for taxi and private hire vehicle drivers.

The consultation is open until 24 September and can be completed via Stirling Council’s Engage Stirling platform.

Paper copies of the consultation can be obtained by contacting the Licensing team at civiclicensing@stirling.gov.uk or by popping into your local library or Customer First.

Play Park Survey

The 2021 Programme for Government made a commitment to provide £60 million to Local Authorities to renew play parks in Scotland. In this final year of that funding, the Scottish Government is now starting to look towards evaluation of the play park renewal programme, and to aid this, Play Scotland are hosting a public survey. We want to hear from families across Scotland about their local play parks and would be grateful if you could share the survey with your networks and via your social media channels to ensure as wide a reach as possible. The survey will close in September and should only take 5-10 minutes to complete.
