Stirling Council Notice re Fountain Rd:
The COUNCIL made The Stirling Council (Fountain Road, Bridge of Allan) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025 under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) on 29-8-25.
This Order will close:
Fountain Road From its junction with Keir Street to its junction with Henderson Street from 26-9-25 until 10-10-25 to facilitate a sewer connection and widening of the entrance to Fountain Road car park.
Access for emergency services will be maintained
Alternative Routes: via Henderson Street, Melville Place, Keir Street and vice versa (click here for diversion map)

Given the current situation in Fountain Road I would envisage chaos. I guess one solution would be to restrict on street parking on Keir Street. With the current parking on both sides of Keir Street there would be no way buses or lorries could take that diversion.
In addition whatever signage is erected Google Maps will route traffic by whichever route looks fastest.
