At SGN, we manage the network that distributes natural and green gas to 5.9 million homes and businesses across Scotland and the south of England. We also provide the gas emergency service in these areas.

We are currently working in the Ferniebank Brae area, Bridge of Allan and as part of a wider project in the area, we’ll shortly begin work on Monday 12 February to upgrade our gas network in Sunnylaw Road, Blairforkie Drive, Glen Road, Upper Glen Road and Pendreich Road. This essential work involves the replacement of old, metal gas mains with new plastic pipe to ensure a continued safe and reliable gas supply.

We understand that people can get frustrated by roadworks. However, the new plastic pipe has a minimum lifespan of 80 years. This means that when the work is complete, Bridge of Allan residents will continue to enjoy the benefits of a safe and reliable gas supply for years to come. We always aim to minimise disruption and we will make every effort to ensure our works are completed as soon as possible.

We will be back in touch with further updates as the project progresses.

If you have any other specific enquiries about this project, please call us on 0800 912 1700 and our customer service team will be happy to help.
