We want to hear direct from residents of Bridge of Allan what their views are on the proposal to identify the greenbelt area between Bridge of Allan/Causewayhead and Stirling as a Strategic Development Area for the development of 800 new houses.  If you click on the attachment below you'll see the areas identified for housing highlighted in pink.

What Can You Do?

Get engaged - you can find out more about the proposals and download a comments form at www.stirling.gov.uk/localdevplan.   Comment forms can be emailed to ldp@stirling.gov.uk and need to be submitted by the 16th December.

You can also find out more at a Stirling Council  "drop in" session on the draft proposed plan at Wallace High School on the 10th December 2011 from 10am to 4pm.

As well as encouraging you to respond directly to the Council the Community Council is also keen to hear your views direct to help inform our own response to the proposals. The Community Council met on the 15th November and discussed the draft Proposed Local Development Plan.  The Community Council decided to postpone a decision on its response to the Plan until its next meeting on Wednesday 14th December (7.30pm at the Allan Centre).  This December meeting of the Community Council has been brought forward from an originally planned date of 20th December so that the Community Council can consider its response before the end of Stirling Council's consultation period (16th December 2011). You are welcome to come along. You can also email us on contact@ccbridgeofallan.org.uk.
