Traffic Wardens - Zero Tolerance Approach in Bridge of Allan

posted 28 Jan 2015, 11:03 by Joanne Green
People living in Bridge of Allan often raise concerns with the Community Council about illegal parking - in various areas including around the school, along Henderson Street and also raising concerns about vehicles parking unsafely and on pavements whilst unloading.  Most people respect the parking restrictions but some don't and there appear to be some repeat offenders. Police Scotland and Stirling Council have put in place new arrangements for provision of traffic wardens.  Traffic wardens will be visiting Bridge of Allan on a sporadic basis at different times of the day and will be taking a zero tolerance approach - they have found that this approach has worked effectively in other areas.  The traffic warden was in Bridge of Allan working on this basis on the 23rd January and issued 7 Fixed Penalty Notices.  Please be aware of this and spread the word locally so that others are aware.
