Some Cycling Advice

posted 24 Oct 2016, 12:31 by Communications TEAM
From the Police Report at last weeks Community Council meeting and quite pertinent now that the nights are getting darker sooner:

"A male mountain biker suffered a serious injury to his knee whilst riding in Mine Woods. With the assistance of the Mountain Rescue the male was located & brought down from the woods & into a waiting ambulance. It is important, particularly when riding at night to ride with others, carry a mobile phone, be adequately dressed for the weather & be aware of where you are in order to provide accurate directions to emergency services should you come into difficulty. If you are riding alone make sure that you inform someone of your planned route & expected time home"
