Proposed Development at Airthrey Kerse - Make Your Views Known

posted 16 Oct 2014, 06:48 by Joanne Green
Graham's, in partnership with MacTaggart Mickel, have applied for planning permission to develop Airthrey Kerse, which is located between Bridge of Allan and Causewayhead.  The "Airthrey Green" proposal includes 600 houses, public parkland, retail and leisure units and a new primary school at Causewayhead. The Local Development Plan recently finalised by Stirling Council does not allocate land for housing on this site.  Bridge of Allan Community Council objected to previous proposals to develop in this area, based on concerns expressed by local residents. Concerns  included the loss of some of the "greenbelt" between Bridge of Allan and Causewayhead and concerns over flooding and drainage.  It is very important that residents make their views known about this current planning application to Stirling Council.  The application and background information can be viewed on Stirling Council's website and a link is provided below.  The Community Council is also keen to hear the views of local residents.  You can contact us by emailing us on  We will also be discussing this application at our next community council meeting - 7.30pm on Tuesday 21st October at the Allan Centre.
