Otters confirmed on the River Allan

posted 26 Jul 2012, 05:25 by Communications TEAM
Following our previous report of otters being observed on the River Allan we have now had further reports which confirm that whilst there are mink present on the river, otters are also in residence.  Among the reports received is one from Roy Baker who has spotted two of these lovely animals in the river adjacent to the Haws Park.  We also understand that a positive sighting of one was made in a garden of a house in Cornton Rd.  We would be delighted to obtain copies of any photographs that might be in existence of the otters.  Let's hope that they have not come to any harm in last week's spate on the river.
