posted 25 Jan 2013, 07:23 by Communications TEAM
Ochils Mountain Rescue Team will be carrying out an evening exercise in the Wolf Quarry on Wednesday 6th February.  Adjoining residents should be aware that during the course of the exercise they may experience lighting and a degree of noise which is not normal for the area.  This is essential training for the team and the Community Council are supportive of this exercise.

Ochils Mountain Rescue Team are a volunteer group with 35 team members who train twice per month.  They are on call 24 hours per day and attend in the region of 25 callouts per annum.  Recently the team assisted Central Scotland Police with their search for 18 year old David O'Halloran who went missing from the area of Stirling University.  Further information can be obtained at www.ochilsmrt.org.uk where donations can also be made to the team.
