posted 2 Jun 2013, 13:33 by Communications TEAM
Stirling Council's Countryside Ranger service are holding an action day in the Mid Woods on Wednesday 12th June from 10am to 3pm.  The Community Council are appealing for volunteers to come along and spend a few hours helping out with this initiative.  Work for the day will include clearing ditches, cutting ivy/overhanging vegetation and collecting tree tubes from various parts of the woods.  Stirling Council will supply tools and gloves.  Participants should meet at the Provost's Park at 10am.  Please bring along a packed lunch although those living locally may wish to go home.  Work can be found to suit most ages and abilities so do come along and join in.  For administration purposes it would be helpful if all volunteers registered their interest prior to the day by contacting the Ranger Service on 08452 777 000 or by e-mailing countryside@stirling.gov.uk
