Local Government Boundary Commission Update

posted 30 May 2016, 04:56 by Communications TEAM
You may recall that last year that the Local Government Boundary Commission (LGBC) were proposing that Bridge of Allan be split between two wards. We conducted extensive consultation and encouraged the community to share their views with both Stirling Council & the LGBC.

We have heard that the Local Government Boundaries Commission have made their decision and that our arguments have been listened to. They are staying with the current set up for Bridge of Allan and Dunblane with the exception of Blairlogie and the University which goes in with Stirling North.

The details can be found on this link

We'd like to take the opportunity to thank you all for making your views known about this item as it has undoubtedly made a difference. Also a big thanks  to our own Janie Meikle Bland who led on this campaign and did a brilliant job of getting the word out there.
