Bridge of Allan Primary School have agreed to be the first Primary School in Forth Valley to undertake Emergency Life Support skills training for young people, in conjunction with the Scottish Ambulance Service.

In November eight people were trained as instructors in the Heart Start programme which is a British Heart Foundation initiative to teach the public what to do in a life-threatening emergency.

The Instructors who volunteered to undertake the training comprise teachers, parents and members of the Community.

The group would like to roll the Heartstart Programme out to Community groups and individuals within Bridge of Allan over the next few months.

The proposed training evenings will be on the 8th May and 5th June 2013 at 7pm.

If you are interested in learning Emergency Life Support Skills please contact the office at Bridge of Allan Primary School on 832050, to book your place on one of the training evenings.
