Important proposals for flood alleviation in Bridge of Allan.

Stirling Council has commissioned a flood alleviation report for Bridge of Allan and the draft report has now been completed.  Whilst it is accepted that the risk of flooding in Bridge of Allan comes from more than one source, this report and the options being proposed, relate only to the risk from the River Allan.  Ian Young, Stirling Council's flood officer will present the report to the Community Council at our next meeting on Tuesday 18th June in the Allan Centre at 7.30pm.  Stirling Council are keen to consult with the community in respect of these proposals and members of the public are encouraged to come along to the Community Council meeting to participate in this consultation.

Should these proposals be adopted and funding, which will be in the millions of pounds, be sourced this will be a major development for Bridge of Allan.  This is the first but an important stage in a project which will bring major benefits to our community.  The public will have an opportunity to ask questions at the meeting and in addition questions after the meeting can be submitted to
