Flash Floods - Update from Community Council Meeting of 18th September

posted 19 Sep 2012, 11:10 by Communications TEAM
The Community Council meeting on Tuesday 18th September was well attended by members of the community and discussion included the recent flash floods.

Many Community Council members and members of the public highlighted the different areas of Bridge of Allan that had been affected by the recent flash floods and raised a number of concerns.  Councillor Campbell who attended the meeting informed those present that work was under way by Stirling Council to assess the recent event and the implications arising from it. The Community Council agreed the need for some form of public meeting that brought together relevant Stirling Council departments, Scottish Water and SEPA to allow information to be exchanged and explore possible solutions.  Councillor Campbell offered to speak to relevant officials in Stirling Council to explore taking this forward.  The Community Council has offered to help promote any event and collate issues/questions from the local community to allow the relevant organisations to prepare.  Do you have any photos of the the recent flash floods that would help illustrate the scale and nature of the recent problems?  Do you have particular questions that you would like answered?  Please send these to us and we will do what we can to help take this forward.
