Dunblane Christmas Extravaganza - 5pm to 9pm, Thursday 29th November

posted 22 Nov 2012, 02:18 by Joanne Green

Discover Dunblane has organised a Christmas Extravaganza in Dunblane Town Centre on the evening of Thursday 29th November 2012. The festivities will kick start at 5pm with Santa being led around the High Street on his sleigh by his team of Reindeers -one of which has appropriately been named “Murray”.  There will then be the opportunity for children to meet Santa in his Grotto and post their letter in his special gold postbox.  They can then wander down the street to see the reindeers and pose for a photo or two.  FES have kindly sponsored the Cairngorm Reindeer for the event.

There will be lots to see with live music and the Cathedral Bells ringing to welcome everyone into the town centre from 5pm.  The High Street will be closed off for the evening and there will be a full programme of activities going on including pantomime characters, singers and many of Santa's little helpers.  Restaurants & bars will be open and there will be hot food available in the shape of succulent roasts together with mulled wine to get everyone in the spirit.  Local shops will have many special offers available exclusively on the night for Christmas shoppers.
