Clive's Planning - Community Council Response

posted 6 Jun 2012, 06:31 by Communications TEAM
The following is the response that the Community Council have made to Stirling Council re the recent planning application to extend Clive's.

"Bridge of Allan Community Council would in general support the application to extend the present restaurant into the existing delicatessen. Some would prefer to see another delicatessen take over the shop but realise that the present economic climate will not support such a business.

There is however concern that the proposed boundary wall to the east of the external eating area is too high. The wall looks, from the artist sketch, to be about person height, 1.8m. It is shown on the front elevation to also be this height, higher then the wall to the front but on the East elevation it is shown to be the same height as the front wall (lower).

Assuming that there is a mistake on the East elevation a wall this high 1.8m approx will cause a visual obstruction along the South side of the High Street and it will also obscure the entrance to Maple House number 24 Henderson Street."

Thanks to everyone who provided feedback on this issue.
