Brown Bin Collection - Stirling Council Consultation

posted 6 Aug 2011, 06:32 by BofA CC Secretary   [ updated 11 Nov 2011, 12:04 by John Boyle ]
Please note that this consultation is now closed.

You may be aware that Stirling Council is considering changes to the Brown Bin collection service.

The basic proposal is that cardboard is collected weekly with other recyclable materials.  Stirling Council maintain that the majority of waste in the brown bins is cardboard.  As a result they propose reducing the brown bin collection to a four weekly cycle over the summer and possibly not at all over the winter period.

Stirling Council is now undertaking a consultation exercise regarding these proposals.  In order that the opinions of Bridge of Allan residents can be heard the community council would encourage you to click on this link  http://www.stirling.gov.uk/campaignpage  and participate in the consultation process.  Thank you. Jo Green, Secretary, Bridge of Allan Community Council.
