Bridge of Allan Heritage Group Meeting 11th May

posted 1 May 2016, 23:59 by Communications TEAM

The Bridge of Allan Heritage Group are holding their annual public meeting on Wednesday, 11th May at 7.30pm in the Library.

This year, they have been invited to host an evening as part of the Stirling Libraries’ “Off the Page” book festival.   Craig Mair will be talking about the research he has been doing about the history of the Bridge of Allan for his new book, which has been commissioned by the Dr Welsh Trust.  He has some fascinating tales to tell about the village’s history.

There will be information too about the group’s other current work, and an opportunity to ask questions about Craig’s book and our other activities, all of which aim to promote the identity and heritage of our village.

They apologise that a condition set by the festival organisers is that the event be ticketed (£5/£3), but can promise that our usual refreshments and home-baking will again be freely available.
