Airthrey Kerse Update - Pre-Determination Meeting

posted 7 Mar 2016, 13:05 by Communications TEAM   [ updated 7 Mar 2016, 13:10 ]
The Predetermination meeting to discuss Airthrey Kerse was held this afternoon at Council Chambers, Old Viewforth in Stirling. The meeting was standing room only with members of the public sadly being turned away at the door. It was an incredibly well attended meeting.

There was a presentation of the proposed development case by the planning dept followed by a question & answer session from elected councillors to various technical bodies such as Roads dept, Flooding, Environmental Health etc. This was followed by a 10 minute presentation from the applicant/supporters of the development. This, in turn, was followed by a 10 min presentation by objectors/groups of objectors.

Our very own Chair, Douglas Dodds, represented both Causewayhead & Bridge of Allan Community Councils to reiterate our objections to the proposals. Douglas was followed by local resident & long-time campaigner against the development, Duncan McDougall. The presentation was finished off with a passionate & rousing speech by another local resident, John Morgan. We have attached their presentations along with the closing summary below.

The decision will be made by elected councillors on 23rd March so there's still time to make your thoughts known to them whilst they deliberate over things. The meeting will be starting at 6pm so we'd expect an even greater turnout so if you're planning on attending proceedings we'd advise that you go early.
