At a full Council meeting on 23rd March, Stirling councillors voted to reject the Airthrey Kerse Planning Application in Principle REF 14/00595/PPP.

The vote for 12 for refusal, 6 against refusal and 2 abstentions. Councillor votes are summarised below:

Neil Benny & Martin Earl (Cons) were both in favour of the development but abstained when the vote came around.

SNP Councillors Alicia Hayes, Fergus Wood, Graham Lambie, Ian Muirhead, Scott Farmer & Gerry McLaughlan all voted FOR the development.

Cllrs Alistair Berrill, Callum Campbell (Con), Mike Robbins, Johanna Boyd, John Hendry, Christine Simpson, Corrie McChord, Danny Gibson, Margaret Brisley, Violet Weir (Lab) and Jim Thomson & Graham Houston (SNP) all voted to REJECT the Planning Permission In Principle...

Green Cllr Mark Ruskell did not have a vote as he had already declared an interest in proceedings. SNP's Alasdair Macpherson wasn't at the meeting so did not vote.

A welcome result after a great deal of hard work from many different individuals as well as both Bridge of Allan &Casewayhead Community Councils.
