It’s time to elect or re-elect your local Community Councillors. Next month all your current Community Councillors must stand down, and, if they wish to, stand for re-election.  We will definitely be looking for new members so please consider putting your name forward. We have been actively working on many different community projects and initiatives so it is more important than ever that all sections and voices of Bridge of Allan are represented on the Community Council.  It is open to anyone over 16. Nomination papers will be available from 1st October, and you can pre-register your interest as detailed below. Nominations will close on 19 October. To pre-register your interest and be sent a digital nomination pack please email communityengagement@stirling.gov.uk.

Feel free to contact us at contact@ccbridgeofallan.org.uk for more information on what is involved, and even if you don’t feel you can help, please share this with those who you think would help us work for the betterment of Bridge of Allan and those who live, work, visit and play in it.

Bridge of Allan can have 13 Community Councillors and we’re short of that at the moment and would be delighted if others would consider putting themselves forward so we can increase our numbers.

It is not a huge time commitment – 10 meetings a year and some possible follow up tasks but you would be helping to shape the decisions for our community.

You can find out more detail about Community Council’s here. https://www.stirling.gov.uk/__documents/community,-life-and-leisure/comcouncil_boundary-areas_2018.pdf
