NOTICE OF TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE – CORNTON ROAD BETWEEN PULLAR AVENUE & ORCHARD ROAD

The COUNCIL made The Stirling Council (Cornton Road, Bridge of Allan) (Temporary Closure) Order 2020 under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) on 10-1-20.

This Order will close:

Cornton Road From the junction with Orchard Road to the junction with Pullar Avenue overnight from 2130 hours until 0600 hours from 3-2-20 until 5-2-20 to facilitate BT Openreach works.

Emergency service access will be maintained

Alternative Routes: via Cornton Road, Causewayhead Road, Airthrey Road, Henderson Street, Fountain Road and vice versa

A COPY of the Order, may be examined at the Stirling Council’s Offices, Environment and Place, Endrick House, Kerse Road, Stirling during office hours.

A9 – from Keir Roundabout to the roundabout on Airthrey Road at the access road to Stirling University. [0500 hrs-1430 hrs] NB: traffic permitted to travel westbound only when this section of road is re-opened.

A9 – from the roundabout on Airthrey Road at the access road to Stirling University to Causewayhead Roundabout. [0500 hrs-1600 hrs]

The effect of this Order shall be to temporarily prohibit the use of vehicles on the length of road identified in the Schedules to this Notice during the period from 0500 hours until 2200 hours on 29 April 2018. The temporary restriction of vehicles is considered necessary to facilitate the holding of a Public Procession and Special Event in the Stirling area, but will only have effect in relation to such part of parts of the lengths of road as are indicated by the appropriate traffic signs, or at the direction of a Police Officer in Uniform and during the periods corresponding to those lengths of road specified in the Schedule to this Notice.
